The GENETICS Project fosters excellence in the teaching of genetics in the state of Washington from Kindergarten through 12th grade. We provide professional development for elementary, middle, and high school teachers and work to identify and develop outstanding genetics instructional materials.

Our professional development workshops promote instructional strategies that are inquiry-driven, standards-based, learner-centered, and supported by exemplary materials. We work closely with other local science education initiatives to ensure that our efforts will be far reaching and sustainable.
